Consider a Legacy Gift to Walk Thru the Bible
Leaving a legacy gift to Walk Thru the Bible for eternity is a godly act of stewardship that expresses your desires and values.
Read MoreBible reading can be difficult as it is.
Distractions abound. Work schedules. Travel schedules. Kids schedules. Baby’s (un)schedule. Not to mention the Bible itself. Ancient words. Ancient, long, unpronounceable names. Ancient culture.
Then there’s understanding … or lack thereof. What does it all mean? How does it all fit together? How does it all apply to my day-to-day life? And what’s with all those bad kings/good kings?
Remember though, as long as we have an Enemy, he will lurk about and keep putting distractions in our way, helping us come up with excuses for not reading the Word. Knowing what kinds of hazards to look out for is part of the battle.
There are other hazards that our always-helpful Enemy helpfully assists us to believe, like—”Where do I start?” “Why is this important?” “This doesn’t make sense.” “I’m not interested.” And the ever-helpful, “This is a hard saying/teaching.”
Don’t listen to him. Don’t let him get you off the path of spending time in the Bible with God each day. Even if it’s only 10 minutes, you will grow spiritually. You’ll get closer to the Lord. You’ll fall in love with the Word … and its Author.
Leaving a legacy gift to Walk Thru the Bible for eternity is a godly act of stewardship that expresses your desires and values.
