Helping 7 Million Children Live God’s Word in Five Years
On this Giving Tuesday, help kids everywhere live God's Word!
Read MoreFive years ago, Walk Thru the Bible sensed God leading the ministry to take a focused step forward—one centered on reaching children around the world with His Word. Today, we’re celebrating 7 million children reached in five years—a powerful testimony to God’s faithfulness.

Working through regional leaders, Walk Thru the Bible identified men and women who could serve children within their own cultures and communities. That effort formed a team of 12 leaders who continue to serve faithfully, helping children engage with Scripture in meaningful and memorable ways.
The impact has been extraordinary. Over the past five years, Walk Thru the Bible’s children’s ministry has reached more than 7 million children worldwide.

In Southeast Asia, children are encountering the Bible in schools and villages. In the Philippines, instructors are welcomed into public schools, especially during the country’s annual Bible Month. In other nations, teams travel into communities wherever doors are open. When public access is limited, leaders serve through private schools and local churches, ensuring children still have opportunities to engage with God’s Word.
“It began with a simple calling,” said Terry Broberg, international children’s ministry leader for Walk Thru the Bible.
“We wanted to reach more children globally and help them experience God through His Word.”

In West Africa, the need is significant. Millions of children face poverty, overcrowded classrooms and social instability. In some communities, economic hardship and limited supervision contribute to rising juvenile delinquency and vulnerability to crime.
“When children encounter God’s Word, we see real transformation,” said Felix Fahuwa, who coordinates children’s ministry across Nigeria and parts of West Africa. “Children begin to live differently. They take what they learn home and share it with their parents. Families start asking questions.”
Instructors have seen children influence their homes in remarkable ways. Parents have approached ministry leaders asking what changed in their children’s attitudes and behavior. The answer is consistent: exposure to God’s Word and the values it teaches.
Through partnerships with local churches and student ministries, the reach continues to expand—even into communities where opportunities once seemed unlikely.

In Eastern Europe, ministry has continued despite war and uncertainty. From Ukraine, Catherine Martych began looking for ways to expand children’s ministry beyond her immediate region. She contacted leaders in other countries, asking who might be willing to serve children using Walk Thru the Bible resources.
Egypt answered that call.
Today, Walk Thru the Bible materials are being used in both Slavic- and Arabic-speaking churches in Egypt. What began as a conversation has grown into a partnership across cultures and languages. Even in a season marked by conflict, God continues to multiply the work.
“Even reaching one child is worth it. This is God’s work.”

Walk Thru the Bible’s children’s ministry team now serves in eight global regions. These stories offer just a glimpse of God’s work. From Southeast Asia to West Africa to Eastern Europe and the Middle East, the message remains the same: when children encounter the living God through His Word, lives change.
None of this happens without faithful partners. Prayer, generosity and long-term support make it possible to equip leaders, translate resources and bring biblical truth to children across cultures.
“From deep in my heart, thank you,” Broberg said. “Because of our partners, millions of children are encountering God’s Word—and learning how to live it.”
