Stories From the Field — October 2026 Updates
What a year it has been! As we continue to celebrate our 50th anniversary at Walk Thru the Bible, we are taking time to reflect on five decades of faithful steps taken by Godly men and women to help people everywhere live God’s Word.
It has been a humbling time of remembrance, but we are even more excited as we look ahead and plan for our next 50 years of ministry. God is moving in amazing ways in so many regions around the world, and it is a joy to share these moments with you.

October at a Glance
- West Africa Expansion: 10,000 additional workbooks ordered for the Rooted series in Togo and Nigeria due to rapid multiplication.
- Historic MENA Broadcast: The Biblical Character Series is officially on the air in Arabic, reaching up to 20 million potential viewers.

Massive Growth in West Africa
Over the summer, Michael Gunnin traveled to Togo and Nigeria to teach the new Biblical Character Series course, Rooted, to eager church leaders in the region. Now, we are receiving reports that these lessons have spread so quickly that local leaders had to order another 10,000 new study guides for the next wave of teaching!
It is not just adults experiencing this growth; instructors are also sharing the children’s version of the study with thousands of excited kids as they learn about the life of Timothy. God is using these dedicated leaders to ignite a passion for Scripture across generations.
Reaching the MENA Region
We also have incredible news from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Led by our regional leader, Hussam Fakhoury, the first broadcast of the entire Biblical Character Series in Arabic is officially on the air!
This monumental step means the teaching is now reaching a potential audience of 20 million viewers across 25 different countries. We are expectant and excited to see how God uses this amazing opportunity to transform hearts across the MENA region.
Equipping Students in Kenya
In Kenya, God is moving powerfully among the next generation. Walk Thru the Bible leader John Mutui has been busy leading massive groups of students through our Old Testament stories and the Rooted series. Seeing students passionately engaged in God’s Word is a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.
