10 Ways You’re Making an Impact With Walk Thru the Bible

Every number has a story. And every story reminds us that impact often travels farther than we can see.

Impact can look like a big number.

But impact also looks like a child going home from school excited to tell her parents a Bible story they have never heard. It looks like a pastor opening Scripture with greater confidence. A teacher returning to a village ready to teach others. A leader discovering that what he received was never meant to stop with him. Or a conversation that still matters ten years later.

For 50 years, Walk Thru the Bible’s mission has remained the same: helping people everywhere live God’s Word. And that mission moves through people.

People who teach. People who pray. People who give. People who encourage. People who share. People who faithfully carry what they have received to someone else.

Here are 10 ways you are helping that impact continue.

1. You’re helping children understand and live God’s Word

In FY2026, 1,522,671 children were taught through Walk Thru the Bible’s global ministry. Those children are learning Scripture in churches, schools, camps, villages, homes, and communities around the world.

In Western Europe, for example, Walk Thru the Bible instructors are entering public-school classrooms filled with children who may have little or no familiarity with the Bible. They learn the big story of Scripture through movement, storytelling, drama, and memorable teaching.

Then something beautiful happens: They take the stories home.

Children have gone home and explained what they learned to parents who had never heard those Bible stories themselves. That’s why our goal is bigger than helping children memorize information. We want children to understand God’s Word well enough to recognize its story, remember its truth, and begin applying it to their own lives.

Because when Scripture travels home with a child, we may never know how far the story will go.

2. You’re helping equip teachers who multiply the impact

Sometimes multiplication begins with a number that seems small compared with the outcome. 778.

In FY2026, Walk Thru the Bible held major international trainings in Nigeria, the Philippines, and Kenya to launch otSTORIES, our children’s curriculum. Those trainings equipped 778 teachers representing 16 countries. And those teachers went home ready to teach.

During one six-day training effort in the Philippines alone, hundreds of teachers traveled from cities and remote villages to learn otSTORIES. Within the first week, children were already being taught the biblical stories those teachers had just learned to share.

Across the full FY2026 ministry year, more than 45,000 children were taught using otSTORIES.

That’s multiplication. Equip a teacher. Give that teacher a biblical tool simple enough to carry home. And the teaching does not have to stop when the training ends. It keeps moving.

3. You’re helping strengthen under-resourced pastors

Many pastors around the world lead churches while also holding jobs, caring for families, and serving communities with limited access to theological education. They often have the calling. They have the people. They have the desire to teach faithfully. What they may not have are accessible biblical tools, training, or a community of leaders walking alongside them.

That is one reason Walk Thru the Bible’s Pastor’s Institute exists.

Behind those numbers are leaders like Pastor John Maturi in Western Kenya. John first encountered Walk Thru the Bible while studying at seminary. What initially felt like another requirement became a new way of seeing Scripture—a Bible he could understand as one connected story and then confidently teach to others. Today, he is helping equip pastors and lay leaders in communities where formal theological education may be difficult to access.

That is what strengthening one leader can begin to look like. The goal is not merely to finish a course. It is to help leaders grow in biblical clarity and confidence so they can return home ready to serve their own churches and communities.

4. You’re helping biblical resources travel farther

Sometimes God’s Word arrives through a live teacher. Sometimes through a Bible study. A video. A devotional. A broadcast. A resource translated into someone’s heart language.

In FY2026, 4,361,718 resources were sold, broadcast, or distributed through Walk Thru the Bible’s ministry. But we don’t create resources simply so they can sit on shelves. They are designed to travel.

Around the world, local leaders are taking biblical resources, adapting them to their cultural setting, translating them, teaching them, and passing them on again. That local ownership matters. The goal is not for one outside teacher to remain at the center of the story. The goal is to place memorable, transferable biblical tools into the hands of faithful people who can use them in their own churches, schools, homes, villages, and communities.

The resource is a tool. God’s Word taking root in people is the goal.

5. You’re helping biblical teaching reach places we may never visit

Some doors open through broadcasting and digital ministry.

In FY2026, Walk Thru the Bible completed 54 Arabic episodes across the 10 Biblical Character Series for broadcast through SAT-7. These programs are being prepared for an available audience of more than 20 million people across 25 countries in the Middle East and North Africa.

That matters because some of those viewers live in places where following Jesus carries significant pressure and where gathering openly or accessing biblical resources may be difficult. Most of us will never meet the person watching from a living room thousands of miles away. We may never know their name. We may never hear their story.

But biblical teaching can still reach them in their own language with encouragement, clarity, and hope. Sometimes impact happens face to face. Sometimes it crosses a border through a screen.

6. You’re helping adults go deeper into God’s Word

Children are only part of the story. In FY2026, 2,478,745 adults were taught through Walk Thru the Bible’s ministry. Some were encountering one of our resources for the first time. Others were pastors, teachers, small-group members, church leaders, parents, or longtime believers seeking to understand Scripture more deeply.

In Nairobi, Kenya, ministry leaders from across Africa gathered to study Rooted: Growing Strong by Going Deep, a study built around the life of Timothy. They didn’t simply sit and listen. They practiced. After sessions, leaders gathered in smaller groups and taught portions of the material to one another. They received feedback, learned together, and prepared to carry the material back into their own contexts.

One participant, Shem Kiptoon, came looking for practical help. He left with a new perspective on how God had been shaping him through his own experiences—and with plans to gather others and walk through the material with them.

That is the kind of adult Bible engagement we want to encourage. Not simply: “I learned something.” But: “I understood it. I lived it. And now I can help someone else.”

7. You’re helping train people who will teach others

This year, 24,438 pastors and Bible teachers were trained.

That matters because Walk Thru the Bible’s global ministry has increasingly been shaped around a biblical picture found in 2 Timothy 2:2: Paul teaches Timothy. Timothy entrusts what he has learned to faithful people. Those people become able to teach others. The truth keeps moving.

For many years, international ministry often meant sending a teacher from one country into another. Today, much of the vision is different. We want to equip trusted local leaders who already understand the language, culture, challenges, and communities they serve. They can adapt. Translate. Teach. Train others. And continue the work long after an outside team has gone home.

That is not simply reach. That is multiplication.

8. You’re helping create thousands of opportunities to encounter Scripture

In FY2026, Walk Thru the Bible reported 28,988 events, including 13,788 international training events. Every one of those numbers represents a gathering.

Sometimes hundreds of ministry leaders in a church in Nairobi. Sometimes children gathered in a classroom in England. Sometimes pastors learning together. Sometimes a small group meeting in a home. Sometimes believers gathering under circumstances where access to biblical teaching is difficult.

The settings change. The languages change. The cultures change. But the purpose remains: Help people understand God’s Word so they can live it.

And sometimes even getting to the gathering tells a story. During one ministry event in Kenya, a nationwide public transportation strike threatened attendance. Many participants depended on public transit. Yet ministry leaders found a way to come. They came because the opportunity to learn, grow, and return home ready to teach mattered. Those are the kinds of moments hidden inside an “event” statistic.

9. Your prayers, encouragement, and participation are part of the story too

Impact is bigger than a financial transaction. We are deeply grateful for those who give financially. But Walk Thru the Bible is also surrounded by a community of people who pray. People who share resources. People who volunteer. People who attend. People who teach. People who introduce someone else to the ministry. People who encourage our global teams. People who tell a friend, parent, child, pastor, or small group about something that helped them understand Scripture.

Some supporters have even traveled alongside our ministry teams and discovered that partnership isn’t a one-way relationship. In Kenya, supporters sat beside local pastors and ministry leaders, worshiped together, listened to their stories, and came home talking about how much they themselves had learned from the believers they originally traveled to encourage.

That is part of the beauty of the global Church. We walk together. We learn from one another. We encourage one another. And your prayers, generosity, and encouragement are woven into the stories and statistics of this ministry. We feel that. And we do not take it for granted.

10. You’re helping make the next chapter possible

We are celebrating what God has done. But the story is not finished.

Millions have been reached. Millions more are waiting.

There are still pastors who need biblical training. Teachers who need resources. Children who have never heard the big story of Scripture. Believers in difficult places who need encouragement. Communities where biblical resources remain difficult to access. And people who may own a Bible but still need someone to help make its message understandable.

Financial partnership helps provide steady support for the ministry, training, biblical tools, global teams, and resources that help make that work possible. There is something powerful about steady partnership. Month after month, faithful people decide: I want to keep walking with this mission.
