Have you ever watched an adult try to play basketball, softball, or golf, when they never played the sport in their childhood? Their movements are not fluid, and often they appear awkward. To be good at any sport – really good, you have to learn it in your youth.

The same principle applies to getting children into the Scriptures. What is learned in childhood becomes a solid foundation for life. Conversely, what they miss will have a powerful impact upon their future as well. That's why Kids in the Book is so important and why every church should schedule this seminar every two or three years. It provides key foundation blocks for life.

Walk Thru the BibleThere are two Kids in the Book seminars: the Old Testament and the New Testament. Both instill the same basic Bible overview as in the adult versions, but each is tailored for first-through-fourth graders.

Throughout each seminar, children become actively involved with stories, games, puzzles, and other interesting activities aimed at teaching Old and New Testament themes. Each activity stimulates imagination, fosters creativity, and enhances group participation. If this all sounds like too much fun, it's because that's how kids learn and retain most effectively.

Kids gain lifelong benefits from participating in the Old and New Testament seminars. They will learn how to:
  • Understand the big picture of the Old Testament, and it will never be a mystery to them again.
  • Understand the dynamics and scope of the New Testament.
  • Use hand signs for key people, places, and events.
  • Meet beloved biblical characters up close and personal.
  • Pray and effectively read their Bible every day.
  • Apply biblical principles to their everyday lives.
Each Kids in the Book seminar is a positive and enjoyable experience for children, inspiring them to pray, to read, and to study their Bibles. In addition, each child receives a complete seminar workbook full of games and puzzles to take home. It will keep them involved and interested in what they have learned. Walk Thru the BibleThe workbook includes a 30-day Bible reading guide to encourage them to continue their walk with the Lord.

Each seminar can be scheduled on its own or in conjunction with adult seminars, but one thing is certain: Kids in the Book will be a powerful building block for children and would make an excellent addition to your education program.
